Finding Recruiters Through Failed Interviews

Finding a good recruiter is hard, and finding a good recruiter who works with people is harder still. Bad recruiters will bring you into their office, ask you a bunch of questions, make you feel good about your chances, and then likely never get you an interview. A good recruiter will say "I don't work with people like yourself" OR "Here's 3 jobs I'd like to submit you to."

It occurred to me that hiring managers know recruiters. If you are in an interview and don't get the job, ask the hiring manager to recommend a recruiter they've worked with in the past. You just might get introduced to someone with your next opportunity.

Think of it this way...
IF hiring manager works with people like you
AND hiring manager works with recruiter
THEN recruiter works with people like you!
